Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing the overall functions of the professional revenue cycle to ensure maximized cash flow while maintaining high level patient, physician, customer, and employee relations. This includes management of all business related functions of the patient visit from the capture, management, collection of patient service revenue from all payers for Prisma Health - Midlands Medical Group. Must enhance and maintain optimally functioning revenue cycle processes. Maintains effective contacts and communication with payer representatives at appropriate levels.  Fosters environment that supports the medical group's core values. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports..

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum Experience

10 years - Revenue cycle operations experience with at least five years in relevant leadership role. Experience must include working with integrated electronic health records, practice management systems, medical billing, collections education, and project management. Experience managing or directing revenue cycle operations through a system conversion is preferred.

Other Required Experience

Ability to develop reports and manage departmental budget. Expert knowledge of governmental and third party payer billing, collections, and coding guidelines - required.


Certified Medical Billing professional - preferred.
