Job Summary

Responsible for all facets of Environmental Services (Housekeeping) in assigned areas of the Community Hospital Campus. Oversees day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department to ensure prompt, courteous, efficient, and cost effective completion of all assigned tasks. Monitors production of staff (in-house and contracted) for opportunities to enhance performance.  Adheres to hospital policies, procedures, mission, and values statements. Manages the department in support of the daily operations of the Departments at designated campus.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports..

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree - Business or Healthcare related

Minimum Experience

3 years - Experience in Environmental Services (Housekeeping) or a related field with 1 year in a supervisory role

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses


Specific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable)


In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements

In lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, a High School Diploma, 5 years (Housekeeping) experience with 3 years at a supervisor level, and certification as a Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP); OR a High School Diploma and 7 years Housekeeping experience with 3 years at a supervisor level may be considered.
