Job Summary

The Director of Patient Financial Services is responsible for the management of hospital accounts receivable functions.  The position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring billing and collection efforts consistent with Patient Friendly standards to ensure complete, accurate and compliant processes that result in optimal collection and customer service performance for the organization.  The Director establishes and monitors appropriate performance benchmarks for the department and employees consistent with industry best practices.  

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination/disciplinary authority, performance appraisal responsibility. Job will be considered a member of the management staff with direct reports..
Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree - In a related field

Minimum Experience

8 years - revenue cycle experience required including patient financial services, denials management or other related services in a hospital setting.  At least 3 years management experience.

In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements

Associate's Degree  plus 10 years  revenue cycle experience required including patient financial services, denials management or other related services in a hospital setting.  At least 3 years management experience.

Large hospital or healthcare system experience - Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcaare Administration or Accounting - Preferred
