This is a PRN position in the Surgical Specialty unit at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Surgical Specialty is a 32 non-monitor bed surgical unit, specializing in Vascular and Urology patients. The length of stay for our patients is one to two days. We receive patients from the PACU and ER.
Provides practical nursing care of assigned patients wthin the scope of a LPN under the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act in the acute care setting. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Physician, provides practical nursing care for assigned patients. Assumes responsibility for data collection related to patient status, on-going monitoring, measuring and documentation of patient responses. Provides patient/family instruction, as directed by the RN. Assists with activities of daily living, non-critical care transport and patient discharge.
Completion of LPN program required. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
